Twenty students from Salaga Senior High School in the East Gonja Municipality, Savannah Region, have been arrested following a violent fight that left one person with multiple stab wounds.
The clash, which turned into a chaotic brawl, forced the police to intervene. During the operation, officers recovered a locally made pistol and a round of ammunition from the scene.
Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the cause of the fight and identify those responsible. The school management has strongly condemned the violence.
A school official told 3News, “We have handed them over to the police for proper screening. Those found guilty must face the law. We are very disappointed by their actions.”
Currently, the police are taking statements from the suspects. Out of the 20 arrested students, 17 have been released on bail, while three remain in custody.
