Academic City University College Awarded Prestigious Seeding Labs Grant

Academic City University College has secured a significant grant from Seeding Labs’ Instrumental Access program to establish a cutting-edge biomedical research laboratory.
 
The competitive award portrays Academic City’s advancement in innovative learning and research excellence.
 
The grant will fuel groundbreaking research, train future scientists, and tackle global health challenges.
 
“This grant will enhance research and education across the region, strengthen our Biomedical Engineering labs, and support industry collaboration,” said Prof. Fred McBagonluri, Academic City President.
 
Dr. Melissa P. Wu, Seeding Labs CEO, added, “We are thrilled to support Academic City in advancing biomedical research in Ghana. Their commitment to research excellence aligns with our mission to unlock the potential of scientists around the world.”
 
The laboratory will focus on impactful projects, including targeted cancer treatments, medical diagnostics, and sustainable agriculture.
 
Dr. Yiporo Danyuo reiterated the grant’s timeliness in addressing Ghana’s and Africa’s biomedical challenges.
