Bishop Salifu Amoako’s Son Sentenced To Six Months For East Legon Accident

The 16-year-old son of Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako, founder of Alive Chapel International, has been sentenced to six months at a Senior Correctional Centre for his role in a fatal car crash in East Legon.

The accident, which happened on October 12, 2024, claimed the lives of two 12-year-old girls, Justine Agbenu and Maame Dwomoh Boateng.

The teenager, whose name is protected by law, faced eight charges, including manslaughter, dangerous driving, and driving without a license or insurance.

Despite pleading not guilty in November, he later admitted to the charges. The incident began during a family birthday party when the teenager took his mother’s car without permission.

Along with a friend, he joined a group of other drivers. Driving at high speed, he collided with another vehicle at a T-junction. The crash caused both vehicles to catch fire, resulting in the tragic deaths of the two girls.

The other driver and another child were rescued. In court, the teenager confessed to taking the car keys without his parents’ knowledge and driving recklessly.

Investigators confirmed his actions caused the accident, leaving the community devastated and prompting concerns about road safety.
