Kofi Adoma Expresses Shock Over Dormaahene’s Silence After Eye Injury

Ghanaian journalist Kofi Adoma has expressed his disappointment that Dormaahene, Osagyefo Nana Agyeman Badu II, has not checked up on him after he sustained a serious eye injury while covering the Kwafie festival in Dormaa Ahenkro.

Speaking publicly about the incident for the first time, Adoma clarified that he is not seeking financial assistance from the Dormaahene but simply expected a show of concern after the life-threatening injury.

According to him, he was invited by one of the Bono chiefs to cover the 25th anniversary celebration of Dormaahene’s enstoolment. During the event, he was shot in the eye, started bleeding, and eventually lost his sight in that eye.

He was initially treated at the Dormaa Hospital but had to travel to Accra and later abroad for further medical care.

Adoma, now recovering, stated that despite his dedication to covering his hometown festival, he never received a single call or message from the Dormaahene regarding his condition. He said a simple check-in would have meant a lot, especially given the circumstances surrounding his injury.
