Academic City University College Boosts Biomedical Research with Seeding Labs Grant

Academic City University College has secured a grant from Seeding Labs’ Instrumental Access program to establish a cutting-edge biomedical research laboratory. 

This highly competitive award recognises Academic City’s commitment to innovation and hands-on learning. Prof. Fred McBagonluri, Academic City’s President, expressed excitement about the development. 

He was quoted as saying the grant “will enhance research and education across the region, strengthen our Biomedical Engineering Department’s labs, and support industry collaboration.” 

Dr. Melissa P. Wu, Seeding Labs CEO, noted, “We’re thrilled to support Academic City in advancing biomedical research in Ghana. Their commitment to research excellence aligns with our mission.” 

Dr. Yiporo Danyuo, Department Head, stated the grant’s timeliness in addressing critical biomedical challenges facing Ghana and Africa.
