AGOSA 84/85 Donates Renovated Chemistry Lab to Accra Girls SHS

The 1984/85 year group of the Accra Girls Old Students Association (AGOSA) has officially handed over a fully refurbished chemistry lab and repainted science block to Accra Girls Senior High School.

The renovation included a new water connection to serve the entire science block, a modern gas supply system, installation of a fume chamber, new lab benches with marble tops, tiling, rewiring, ceiling fans, storage cabinets, and shelves. The project replaces the use of cooking gas cylinders in the lab.

Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Clement Abas Apaak, praised the group for supporting STEM education, encouraging other alumni to do the same.

GES Regional Director, Hajia Katumi Natogmah Attah, accepted the facility on behalf of the service and stressed the importance of maintenance.

Head of Science Programmes, John Victor Klevor, highlighted challenges like non-working sinks but expressed gratitude, noting the upgrade would boost student and teacher performance.

AGOSA 84/85 President, Linda Adjoa Holdbrook-Amissah, emphasized the group’s investment and called for proper upkeep of the facility.
