A 42-year-old man from Lusaka has filed for divorce after his wife, 34, posed for a photo with American R&B star Chris Brown during a recent meet-and-greet event.
The picture, taken after Brown’s concert at FNB Stadium in South Africa, shows the artist hugging the woman from behind while kissing her on the cheek.
The husband claimed the photo was disrespectful and embarrassing, arguing that it was inappropriate for a married woman.
In court documents, he stated, “My wife acted in a manner unbecoming of a married woman. This picture has embarrassed me publicly and caused emotional distress.”
The wife defended her actions, explaining that the kiss was innocent and platonic, emphasizing it was a playful moment during a fan engagement session with Chris Brown.
She denied any disrespect toward her husband and accused him of exaggerating the situation to cover up deeper issues in their relationship. The woman had attended the concert’s exclusive VIP meet-and-greet, which allowed fans to take photos with the artist.
Chris Brown is known for interacting closely with his female fans during such events, often adopting intimate poses that have sparked debate online about the boundaries of artist-fan interactions.
While these sessions, typically priced at around $1,000, are consensual, they have drawn mixed reactions on social media due to the personal nature of some photos.
