St. Vicente College Students Urge Stakeholders To Resolve Closure Crisis

Students of St. Vicente College of Education in Yendi have called on stakeholders to urgently address the issues that led to the closure of their institution.

The closure was ordered on Monday, January 13, by a delegation from the Overlord of Dagbon, Yaa Naa Mahama Abukari II.

The students, however, are appealing for a peaceful and swift resolution. Speaking to Citi News, Christopher Majah, the Public Relations Officer of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC), noted their concerns:

“We the student body are appealing to the government and the stakeholders to come into this because without the management we the student body cannot do everything, all the offices in the school have closed down and we can not go to campus without non-teaching staff.

“We are appealing that whatever is the case they should resolve it within a possible time so that the staff can return to their offices and put things in order before we resume on the 27th,” Majah added.

The students noted the importance of resolving the matter promptly to ensure a smooth return to academic activities.
