Two Granted Bail After Sokode SHTS Clash; Probe Committee to Be Formed

Two individuals, identified as the Secretary and Fiator of Sokode Gbogame, who were arrested following last Sunday’s violent clash between students of Sokode Senior High Technical School (SHTS) and local youth, have been granted bail.

The Asafofia, who was also taken into police custody, has likewise been released, according to Mac Billions Bansah, the assembly member for the area.

A committee is set to be formed to investigate the cause of the clash, which erupted over yet-to-be-disclosed grievances and led to heightened tensions between the school and the community.

Authorities expect the committee’s findings to help address the root causes of the conflict and prevent future occurrences. Meanwhile, security remains on high alert as efforts continue to restore peace in the area.
