GFA President Kurt Okraku Elected to CAF Executive Committee

Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has been elected to the Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Okraku, who contested unopposed as the representative of WAFU Zone B, will serve a four-year term from 2025 to 2029 on the 24-member committee, which plays a key role in shaping African football.

He became GFA President in 2019 and later took over as head of WAFU Zone B. His new position strengthens Ghana’s influence in CAF, giving the country a greater voice in football development and reforms across the continent.

Okraku joins a list of Ghanaians who have previously served on the CAF Executive Committee, including Ohene Djan, Kobina Hagan, Nana Fredua Mensah, Samuel Okyere, and Kwesi Nyantakyi.
