Guardiola Responds to Sack Rumors Amid Man City’s Poor Form

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has acknowledged that the club could decide to sack him following a poor run of form.

City has struggled recently, winning just once in their last 10 matches, including a 2-0 loss to Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The defeat leaves City 22nd in the Champions League standings, five points away from automatic qualification with two games remaining.

In the Premier League, Guardiola’s team sits fourth, eight points behind leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand. Since taking charge in 2016, Guardiola has enjoyed significant success at City but has never experienced such a prolonged dip in performance.

Remarkably, the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach has never been sacked in his managerial career.

Speaking to Prime Video Sport in a conversation with his former Brescia teammate Luca Toni, Guardiola said: “Can Man City sack me? If they do, I will go home. Life doesn’t always go the way you want it to.”
