JUST IN- TikTok Announces Service Restoration After Trump’s Intervention

TikTok has begun restoring its services in the United States, following former President Donald Trump’s intervention.

The company expressed gratitude to Trump for providing assurances to its service providers, ensuring they would not face penalties for continuing operations in the U.S.

With over 170 million users in the country, TikTok highlighted the importance of the platform for small businesses, noting that more than seven million enterprises rely on it.

In a public statement, TikTok called the development “a strong stand for the First Amendment and against arbitrary censorship,” and reaffirmed its commitment to working with Trump on a long-term solution to keep the platform operational in the U.S.

This announcement follows previous concerns about TikTok’s future in the country after a new law was set to ban the app.

Just hours before the law was due to take effect, TikTok had gone offline, leaving users with a message stating, “you can’t use TikTok for now.”
