Kevin Taylor Sued for Ghc 20million by Ghanaian Herbal Doctor, Dr Williams Anarfi

U.S.-based Ghanaian political commentator Kevin Ekow Taylor has been sued for GHC 20 million by Ghanaian medical herbal officer Dr. Williams Anarfi Sarpong.

Dr. Sarpong, who runs Spintex Hospital, a herbal medical center in Tema, alleges that Taylor defamed him in a series of statements made on his Loud Silence Media show.

Taylor claimed that Sarpong is not a licensed medical doctor and accused him of using fake qualifications and purchased awards to boost his reputation. He also alleged that Sarpong was involved in fraudulent business dealings by associating himself with former President John Dramani Mahama and called on the Ghana Police to arrest him.

Taylor even challenged Sarpong to sue him, saying he would be willing to come to Ghana to face the case in court.

In response, Sarpong, through his lawyers, filed a defamation lawsuit at the High Court on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. He is seeking GHC 20 million in exemplary damages, along with general and special damages, as well as legal costs.

This lawsuit comes just weeks after investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas won an $18 million judgment in the U.S. against former Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong for similar defamatory remarks.
