Mahama Reduces Ministries From 30 To 23, Check The Full List

President John Dramani Mahama has reduced the number of ministries in his government from 30 to 23, fulfilling a key campaign promise to streamline governance and cut costs.

The announcement, made through an Executive Instrument dated January 9, 2025, aims to improve public service delivery and enhance accountability.

This initiative is part of a broader agenda to create a leaner government with a total of 60 ministries and ensure a more focused, results-driven administration.

The full list of the newly structured 23 ministries has not been detailed here, but this consolidation marks a significant step toward fulfilling President Mahama’s governance reform commitments.
