Stonebwoy Dropped from NDC Victory Concert Following Grassroots Protests

Renowned Reggae/Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has been removed from the lineup of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Victory Concert, set for January 5, 2025, at the Legon Stadium forecourt.

The decision follows backlash from the party’s grassroots, with the hashtag #DropStonebwoy trending on social media shortly after his inclusion was announced on January 3.

Many party members expressed dissatisfaction with his participation in the event. In response, the concert organisers issued a statement citing concerns from the grassroots as the reason for the removal.

They also apologised to Stonebwoy and his team for the outcome. The concert aims to celebrate the NDC’s historic win in the recent general elections.
