‘We’ll Correct Wrongs Of Akufo-Addo’s Government’ – Mahama Reassures Ghanaians

President-elect John Dramani Mahama has promised to address the failures of the outgoing Akufo-Addo administration and lead Ghana towards transparency, accountability, and fiscal discipline.

In his New Year message for 2025, Mahama assured Ghanaians of his determination to fight corruption, reduce excessive government spending, and prioritize the needs of citizens.

As he prepares to be sworn in on January 7, his promises have raised hopes for reform and progress.

“We will work hard to correct the mistakes of the outgoing administration, tackle corruption with determination, and cut unnecessary government expenses. Every Ghanaian’s voice matters, and together, we will build the Ghana we dream of—a Ghana of equity, opportunity, and shared success,” Mahama said.

He also emphasized the importance of unity and optimism. “Let’s embrace hope and work together to reset our economy, restore integrity, and commit to building a prosperous nation for all.”

Mahama pledged to create an efficient and inclusive government that reflects the aspirations of Ghanaians. He promised to support businesses by removing barriers, simplifying processes, and providing resources to foster growth and job creation.

To business owners, he said: “My administration will work to empower you to create jobs and wealth. We will ensure you have the support needed to build and expand your businesses.”

With these commitments, the President-elect aims to restore confidence in governance and lay the foundation for a better Ghana.
