Man United Manager Demands Improvement From Players After 2-2 Draw Against Liverpool

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has called on his players to step up their game, despite securing a 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

The Red Devils took the lead through Lisandro Martinez’s goal, but Liverpool fought back with goals from Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah.

United managed to salvage a point with Amad Diallo’s late equalizer.Amorim expressed his desire to see his team play better, emphasizing the importance of mentality in their performance.

“I want to see my team play so much better, but I think the most important thing to address today is the mentality,” he told reporters after the game.

“That is the key for everything. Today we were a different team, not because of the system, not because of the technical aspect of the game [or] the tactical aspect of the game.”

He further stressed the need for his team to face competitions with the right mindset, regardless of the opponent or venue. “We face the competition in the way that we are supposed to face every day. Training and match. It doesn’t matter the place; the opponents, we need to face them every day like that,” he said.

Amorim’s comments suggest that he is looking for a more consistent and mentally tough performance from his players in their upcoming matches.
