Hajia4Reall To Return Home As US Court Grants Self-Deportation Request

Ghanaian social media personality Mona Faiz Montrage, popularly known as Hajia4Reall, is set to return home soon after a U.S. District Court approved her request for self-deportation.

Judge J. Paul Oetken granted the request after her legal team, Fast Law, petitioned for the release of her passport to initiate deportation proceedings.

The U.S. government did not oppose the request, paving the way for her return to Ghana as she nears the end of her 12-month prison sentence at FDC Philadelphia.

Montrage pleaded guilty on February 21, 2024, to conspiracy to accept stolen money and was sentenced on June 28, 2024, to 12 months and one day in prison.

In addition to her jail term, she was given three years of supervised release, ordered to forfeit $216,475, and pay $1,387,458 in restitution.
