Ghanaian comedian OB Amponsah has opened up about the financial struggles he faced from his recent comedy show.

Speaking during an interview on Hitz FM on January 20, 2025, OB revealed that his comedy special held at the Bukom Boxing Arena on December 21, 2024, resulted in a loss of approximately GH₵40,000.

Despite the financial setback, OB expressed that he does not regret the investment, emphasizing the value of self-investment.

“Even if it doesn’t come back as profit, it would come back into my craft,” he stated, referring to his commitment to the growth of his career.

OB also shared that, over the course of his comedy career, he has faced similar losses with previous specials, stating, “I’ve done about five comedy specials with no profit.”
