Meet Ephraim Ayeh Oracca-Tetteh, The blind Student Who Graduated With 4.0 FGPA

Ephraim Ayeh Oracca-Tetteh has made history as the Overall Best Student at the University of Ghana’s 2025 Congregation, graduating with a perfect 4.0 FGPA.

His academic journey, marked by resilience and excellence, began at Faith Christian Academy before he attended St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School, where he excelled in Visual Arts. Initially admitted to KNUST for Painting and Sculpture, a health condition affecting his eyesight led him to shift paths.

After receiving training in Assistive Technology through the Ghana Blind Union, he enrolled at the University of Ghana in 2021 to study Political Science, Philosophy & Classics, and Archaeology.

Beyond academics, Oracca-Tetteh has been a dedicated advocate for students with disabilities, serving as Organising Secretary and Public Relations Officer for the Campus Association of Students with Special Needs.

He also worked on initiatives integrating technology into education and contributed to campus life through student organisations and Radio Univers.

With aspirations in assistive technology, cognitive science, philosophy, and law, he aims to advance human rights and inclusion. He attributes his success to family support, mentorship, and financial aid from institutions like the Scholarship Secretariat.
