President-Elect Mahama Donates GH¢5,000 At Mercy Little Smith’s One-Week Funeral

Mercy Little Smith, loved for her role as ‘Benyiwaa’ in the popular TV series Efiewura, was honored during her one-week funeral observation following her death on December 18, 2024.

The gathering brought together family, friends, and fans to pay tribute to the late actress, who left a lasting impact on the Ghanaian entertainment industry.

President-elect John Dramani Mahama made a generous donation of GH¢5,000 to assist with funeral arrangements. His gesture was warmly received, and the MC expressed deep appreciation, recalling Mahama’s earlier support for Mercy during her illness.

“When this woman was sick, John Mahama supported her with a large sum, but death is unpredictable. We thank God for him,” the MC said.

Prominent figures from the entertainment industry, including Koo Fori, Kwame Dzokoto, and Martha Ankomah, were also in attendance to offer condolences.

Tributes poured in from colleagues and fans, celebrating Mercy’s significant contributions to Ghana’s entertainment scene and the lasting legacy of her work.
