Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has confirmed that the club will not have the funds to strengthen the squad during the January transfer window.
Despite facing mounting pressure after a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United on Monday, Amorim acknowledged the financial constraints the club is currently under.
The loss at Old Trafford highlighted the team’s ongoing struggles as Amorim continues to implement a 3-4-3 system, which many players are still adapting to.
After the match, Amorim explained, “We don’t have that possibility in January. It’s not a case of arriving here and spending a lot of money to change the team. That’s not an option right now.”
According to reports from ESPN, any potential signings in January will depend on player sales or loans to free up the necessary funds.
