A Ghanaian boy, Ganiu Alajohn, who excelled in the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) despite having special needs, has received encouraging support to further his education.

Ganiu’s admission to Prempeh College was threatened due to financial constraints. Benevolent individuals, led by social activist Amaro Shakur, intervened, providing essential items including a new wheelchair, mattress, and provisions.

Amaro Shakur, along with OK Frimpong, an aspiring parliamentary candidate for Asante Akyem North, visited Ganiu at home, presenting him with cash and essential items.

In a heartfelt video, Ganiu expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for their kindness.

Netizens praised Amaro Shakur’s selfless act, with comments such as “Amaro, God richly bless you” and “Brother, I salute you.”
