The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced a significant 75% increase in prize money for the winner of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
The champions of the tournament, co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, will receive $3.5 million.
CAF also revealed that the total prize pool for the competition has risen to $10.4 million, marking a 32% increase from previous editions.
So far, 17 countries have qualified for the biennial tournament. The draw ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the International Convention Centre in Nairobi, Kenya.
The competition will kick off on Saturday, February 1, 2025, with the final set to take place on Friday, February 28, 2025.
