Suzzy Pinamang, a student of Adventist Senior High School in Bantama, Ashanti Region, has received financial support after a tragic incident at school left her blind.

The Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) donated GH¢100,000 to help with her treatment and recovery. CHASS also encouraged Suzzy’s parents to open a bank account in her name to allow others to donate and support her healing process.

The incident happened on Friday, April 4th, during break time. According to reports, Bernard Amoabeng, a Form Two student, brought a gun to school.

While a group of students were arguing about whether the gun was real and could fire, it accidentally went off and hit Suzzy in the face, causing her to lose her eyesight.

The donation and support aim to ease the burden on Suzzy’s family and help her get the medical care she needs.
