Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has attributed their 2-0 defeat to Wolves to the difficulty of playing with 10 men following Bruno Fernandes’ red card.
Fernandes was sent off after receiving a second yellow card just a minute into the second half.
This marks the Portugal midfielder’s third red card of the season, further compounding United’s struggles.
“Of course, when we lose, it’s a step back,” Amorim said.
“It became really hard after the red card. The first goal was similar to the one we conceded against Tottenham. Even with one less player, we tried and came close, but Wolves scored the second goal. We gave it our all, but their transition sealed the result at 2-0.”
The loss leaves Manchester United in 14th place after 18 matches, continuing a challenging season for the Red Devils.
