Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has shared his thoughts on the team’s 2-1 defeat to Fulham in their Boxing Day Premier League clash.
The Blues started strong, with Cole Palmer giving them an early lead in the first half. However, Fulham staged a late comeback in the second half with goals from Harry Wilson and Rodrigo Muniz, sealing the win.
In his post-match interview, Maresca blamed the loss on his team’s inability to control transitions during the second half.
“I think in the first 10-15 minutes of the second half, we allowed too many transitions,” Maresca told Prime Video.
“We should have managed the second half much better, especially in the first 15-20 minutes. The game was within reach, but conceding a goal in the final minute cost us.”
