Ghana’s Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has declared former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta a wanted fugitive after he failed to appear for questioning over multiple corruption scandals.

At a press conference on February 12, 2025, Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng announced that Ofori-Atta is wanted in connection with four major corruption cases, including the National Cathedral project and the Strategic Mobilization Limited (SML) scandal.

The OSP believes Ofori-Atta is currently outside the country and has urged him to return immediately to face justice.

Agyebeng warned that if he does not return voluntarily, legal measures will be taken to bring him back.
