President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has announced that Ghana’s economy is making a strong recovery, highlighting key growth indicators.
In his final New Year message on December 31, the President reported a 7.2% economic growth rate in the third quarter of 2024, with an overall annual growth rate projected at 6.8%.
Akufo-Addo praised the resilience of the Ghanaian people and the government’s efforts to guide the economy back to growth despite challenges both locally and globally.
He emphasized that these positive growth figures represent real changes in people’s lives and brighter futures.
While acknowledging the difficulties the country has faced, including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the President reflected on the strength and unity of the Ghanaian people, saying the tough times have only reinforced their determination to rise together.
