Ghanaian Dancehall and Reggae star Stonebwoy has highlighted his historic achievement of filling the Accra Sports Stadium beyond its 40,000 capacity.
Speaking on 3Music TV, the artist revealed that his self-funded BHIM Festival in 2023 drew over 55,000 fans, a feat unmatched by any other artist in his league.
Stonebwoy proudly noted that the event was fully financed by him, without sponsorship, and featured top artists from Ghana and the Caribbean. “No artist in my class has ever filled the Accra Sports Stadium like I did,” he stated, emphasizing the magnitude of his accomplishment.
He expressed disappointment over what he sees as a lack of recognition for his contributions to Ghana’s music industry. “We’ve allowed others to act as though they lead the industry, but the facts are clear,” he said, adding that the success of the BHIM Festival is a testament to his hard work and influence.
Stonebwoy also highlighted the dedication it took to organize the festival, describing it as a major milestone in his career and a moment of pride for his fans.
