Ibrahim Mahama Donates $115,000 For Kofi Adoma’s Eye Surgery

Ghanaian business mogul Ibrahim Mahama, CEO of Engineers & Planners Ltd. and Dzata Cement, has reportedly donated $115,000 to support the eye surgery of journalist Kofi Adomah Nwanwanii in Dubai.

The donation was revealed by broadcaster Nana Yaa Brefo on the Yen Nsempa Morning Show on Onua FM. Reports indicate that the amount was transferred directly from Mahama’s bank account to Miracle Adoma’s (Kofi Adoma’s wife) account at Ecobank East Legon at the end of January 2025.

Kofi Adoma’s eye injury was the result of an accidental shooting while covering the Dormaa Kwafie Festival in the Bono Region a few months ago. Since then, he has undergone multiple surgical procedures to restore his eyesight.

Despite Mahama’s generous gesture, some confusion remains regarding whether the full donation has been used as intended. However, the donation is part of a larger initiative to cover the costs of his medical treatment.
