Former President and National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Mahama, has donated a 7-seater vehicle to the Islamic Education Unit of the Ghana Education Service (GES) in Tamale, Northern Region.
The General Manager of the Islamic Education Unit, Mr. Abdul Karim Bapuni, received the vehicle on behalf of the organisation and expressed gratitude for the support.
“This gesture will greatly enhance our mobility and our ability to engage more effectively with educational initiatives across the country,” Bapuni stated during the handover ceremony.
Earlier this week, Mahama also donated a vehicle to the National Chief Imam at the National Muslim Conference in Accra, as part of his contribution to the Zakat and Sadaqa Trust Fund of Ghana.
This initiative manifests his commitment to supporting Islamic education and charitable organisations across the country.
In addition, Mahama reinforced his dedication to media outreach by providing motorbikes to five Hausa-language radio stations in Accra.
These radio stations are crucial in promoting communication and fostering community engagement among the Hausa-speaking population.
