Methodist University Ghana (MUG) held its 22nd graduation ceremony, conferring degrees on 1,800 students from various disciplines.
The event, themed “Empowering 21st Century Graduates,” celebrated academic excellence and character building.
Keynote speaker Ace Anan Ankoma noted the importance of STEM education for Ghana’s economic and social progress.
He urged the government to allocate resources to improve educational infrastructure and establish research hubs.
Chairperson Justice Professor Henrietta Mensa-Bonsu encouraged graduates to think beyond their specialisation and contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s development.
Vice Chancellor Rev. Prof. Daniel Yao Bruce highlighted the university’s resilience amidst challenges.
Awards were presented to outstanding students, including overall best graduate Akrong Edward Tetteh-Owusu.
