As Ghana’s December 7 general elections approach, Ghanaian-American comedian Michael Blackson is encouraging Ghanaians to vote thoughtfully.

In an interview with Joy News, Blackson discussed the economic difficulties the country has faced, particularly since the COVID-19 pandemic, and stressed the importance of choosing a leader who can help Ghana recover.

He said;

“It’s been a tough few years,” he noted. “We need to get Ghana back to what it used to be.”

Blackson urged citizens to think carefully about their choice and make their voices heard on election day, adding,

“You can’t just complain. Go out and vote; make your vote count.”

He also reminded Ghanaians to keep faith in God and to focus on personal responsibility and resilience.

“Put God first and keep moving forward. Don’t rely solely on a leader to shape your life; be great and do the right thing,” he advised.
