Neymar Jr. Accepts Pay Cut To Return To Santos From Al-Hilal

Neymar Jr. has agreed to take a significant pay cut to secure his return to Santos, his former club in Brazil, ending a challenging spell at Al-Hilal.

The 32-year-old forward, who joined Al-Hilal in the summer of 2023, has been plagued by injuries, limiting him to just seven appearances in over a year.

With only six months remaining on his contract with the Saudi Pro League side, Neymar is eager to return to his boyhood club. The exact details of how the move will be completed are still unclear, with two potential options: either Neymar will terminate his contract with Al-Hilal or move to Santos on loan.

Al-Hilal’s manager, Jorge Jesus, has already indicated that Neymar will not be registered for the second half of the Saudi Pro League season, suggesting that the transfer is imminent.

Neymar’s decision to take a pay cut is expected to smooth the way for his return to Santos this January.
