Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has gifted his mother, Madam Elsie Evelyn Avemegah, a luxurious new home in Abokobi, following accusations of neglect.
The three-bedroom house, with modern interiors and a peaceful setting, was revealed by Shatta Wale’s manager, Sammy Flex, in a video shared on YouTube.
The gesture marks a turning point in the strained relationship between the musician and his mother. Earlier this year, Madam Elsie accused Shatta Wale of abandoning her for over a decade.
In a heartfelt interview, she shared her struggles with illness and revealed she had been living under the care of her sister and niece.
Her claims sparked public criticism, with many questioning why one of Ghana’s wealthiest musicians had not supported his own mother.
In response, Shatta Wale purchased the home and ensured her smooth relocation, signaling his effort to reconcile. While some fans have praised him for the thoughtful act, others argue that the move was long overdue, considering her earlier challenges.
