“Vote Wisely, Don’t Let Anyone Deceive You With Gari, Rice, Or Yam” – Sonnie Badu Warns

Renowned Ghanaian preacher and gospel musician Sonnie Badu has urged citizens to vote wisely in the upcoming December 7, 2024, general elections.

Speaking in an interview on Accra FM, Badu advised Ghanaians not to be swayed by gifts such as gari, rice, or yams from politicians seeking votes. Instead, he encouraged voters to focus on holding leaders accountable and prioritizing the country’s welfare.

Addressing Ghana’s current economic difficulties, Badu criticized the government, calling it a failed administration. He urged citizens to reflect on the rising cost of living when making their choices at the polls. “This is the only time you hold real power,” he said.

“Don’t let anyone deceive you with gifts and waste your vote. Politicians will come to your towns pretending to care, but once they gain power, they disappear.” Badu emphasized the importance of voting out leaders who have failed to deliver on their promises and contributed to the nation’s struggles.

He encouraged voters to examine their circumstances and make informed decisions. “If you’re happy, vote. If you’re not, vote for change,” he said. “Think carefully about who truly has the country’s best interests at heart.”

His message resonates with many Ghanaians frustrated by the state of the nation and seeking change. Badu’s call for thoughtful and informed voting serves as a powerful reminder of the role citizens play in shaping their country’s future.
