Wizkid Achieves Milestone As First African Artiste To Surpass 8 Billion Streams On Spotify

Nigerian singer Wizkid has made history by becoming the first African artist to exceed 8 billion streams on Spotify.

This remarkable feat includes both his lead and feature tracks. His collaborative hit with Drake, ‘One Dance,’ remains his most streamed song on the platform, with over 2 billion streams.

Notably, ‘One Dance’ holds the Guinness World Record for being the first single to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify.

Wizkid’s most streamed album on Spotify is the deluxe edition of his fourth studio album, ‘Made In Lagos,’ which has garnered approximately 1 billion streams.

Meanwhile, Burna Boy trails behind Wizkid with 7.2 billion streams, making him the second most streamed African artist on the platform.

Burna Boy also holds the distinction of being the most followed Afrobeats artist on Spotify.
